Job Description: Pharmacy Intern
Sir H. N. Reliance Foundation Hospital & Research Centre, Charni Road, Mumbai
Internship Duration: 3 Months (Extendable for additional 3 months based on performance and departmental requirements)
Future Opportunity: Potential conversion to a full‑time role after 6 months, based on performance and availability of open positions
Work Schedule: Rotational shifts (including night shifts as per training and operational needs)
Eligibility: Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm) students or fresh graduates 2026 passouts
Stipend:15k per month
Key Responsibilities:
Clinical & Ward Support
- Assist in reviewing patient medication charts and treatment sheets
- Support clinical pharmacists in ensuring safe and appropriate medication use
- Help identify potential medication‑related issues under supervision
Prescription & Medication Review
- Assist in checking prescriptions for completeness and accuracy
- Support identification of drug–drug and drug–food interactions
- Assist in medication reconciliation during admission, transfer, and discharge
Pharmacy Coordination
- Coordinate with pharmacy staff for timely receipt of medicines
- Assist in monitoring dispensed medications and reporting discrepancies
- Support compliance with narcotic drugs and restricted medication protocols
Documentation & Systems
- Assist in updating medication orders in the Hospital Information System (HIS/SAP)
- Support maintenance of drug master and formulary data
- Help with documentation for NABH / JCI accreditation activities
Quality & Patient Safety
- Assist in reporting medication errors, near misses, and adverse drug reactions
- Follow hospital policies, SOPs, and patient confidentiality guidelines
- Support quality improvement and patient safety initiatives
Learning & Teamwork
- Work closely with clinical pharmacists, doctors, and nursing teams
- Participate in departmental meetings and training sessions
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Clinical Pharmacist or HOD
Education:
- Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm), 2026 passouts
- Other Requirements:
- Registration or eligibility for registration with Pharmacy Council of India
- Basic computer skills
- Willingness to work in rotational shifts
