Job Title: GM – Project Finance

Experience: 15+ years (minimum 5 years in a senior role in project finance)
Qualification: CA / MBA (Finance) / CFA / ICWA; additional qualification in infrastructure or healthcare finance will be an advantage
Role Objective:
To lead the project finance function by structuring, raising, and managing long-term capital for greenfield, brownfield, and expansion projects across India. The role requires deep expertise in infrastructure/project finance, financial modeling, debt syndication, and investor/stakeholder management to support the hospital’s ambitious growth and expansion strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Project Finance Strategy & Planning
- Develop and implement project finance strategies aligned with hospital expansion plans (greenfield, brownfield, acquisitions).
- Collaborate with strategy, operations, and technical teams to assess funding requirements, project feasibility, and ROI.
- Prepare detailed financing roadmaps and capital structures for each project.
2. Financial Modeling & Feasibility Analysis
- Build and review complex financial models including revenue, cost, IRR, DSCR, NPV, and payback calculations.
- Evaluate project risks and prepare sensitivity/scenario analysis.
- Provide key inputs to investment committees and board-level presentations.
3. Fundraising (Debt / Equity / Hybrid Instruments)
- Lead the end-to-end process of securing project-specific funding from banks, NBFCs, DFIs, private equity, and multilateral institutions.
- Evaluate debt vs. equity options, manage credit ratings, and negotiate terms.
- Liaise with lenders, advisors, rating agencies, and legal counsel for documentation and financial closure.
4. Treasury & Cash Flow Management for Projects
- Oversee drawdown schedules, escrow accounts, DSRA, and fund utilization compliance.
- Optimize project cash flow to ensure timely disbursement to vendors/contractors and manage working capital efficiently.
- Monitor project budgets, cost overruns, and financial KPIs.
5. Risk Management & Compliance
- Identify financial and regulatory risks related to healthcare infrastructure projects.
- Ensure compliance with RBI guidelines, health sector-specific financial regulations, and loan covenants.
- Conduct due diligence, risk assessments, and mitigation plans for all new projects.
6. Stakeholder Management & Reporting
- Prepare and present MIS, board reports, lender updates, and investor presentations.
- Maintain strong relationships with banks, FIs, and financial partners.
- Work closely with internal departments (legal, projects, operations) for smooth project execution.
Key Skills & Competencies:
- Deep knowledge of project finance structures (SPVs, BOT, BOO, PPP, etc.)
- Experience in healthcare, infrastructure, or real estate sectors
- Expertise in financial modeling, valuation, and deal structuring
- Strong lender/investor network in Indian and global financial markets
- Excellent negotiation, presentation, and analytical skills
- High attention to detail, strategic mindset, and strong business acumen
- Familiarity with healthcare cost structures, capex cycles, and ROI metrics
Preferred Background:
- Prior experience in managing large hospital/healthcare/infrastructure finance portfolios
- Proven track record of raising ₹100–500+ Cr for projects (debt/equity)
- Experience working with multilateral agencies (ADB, IFC, etc.) a plus
