JOB SUMMARY
The Deputy General Manager – HR Operations will report to the Head of HR Operations and will be responsible for end-to-end HR Operations, Payroll, Compensation & Benefits, Statutory Compliance, and Employee Lifecycle Management across Reliance Foundation Hospital(s).
This role will partner closely with hospital leadership, corporate HR, and cross-functional teams to ensure operational excellence, regulatory compliance, cost efficiency, and superior employee experience, aligned with RFH values and healthcare governance standards.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
1. Provide Strategic HR Operations Leadership
- Lead and implement HR operations strategy aligned with hospital objectives and RFH governance framework.
- Act as a trusted HR partner to hospital leadership, medical administrators, and functional heads.
- Drive process standardization, automation, and continuous improvement across HR operations.
2. HR Operations & Employee Lifecycle
- Oversee end-to-end employee lifecycle management from pre-onboarding to post-exit for clinical and non-clinical staff.
- Ensure seamless execution of onboarding, confirmations, promotions, transfers, and separations.
- Institutionalize structured exit interviews and data-driven attrition insights.
3. Payroll, Compensation & Benefits
- Lead payroll operations ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant processing for large hospital workforces.
- Manage fixed and variable pay structures, incentives, bonuses, and hospital-specific payouts.
- Drive annual increment cycles, performance-linked pay, salary reviews, and compensation benchmarking.
- Oversee employee benefits including medical insurance, GTLI, EDLI, gratuity, and accident insurance, including critical and death cases.
4. Statutory Compliance & Governance
- Ensure full compliance with PF, ESI, Gratuity, CLRA, Shops & Establishments, and other applicable labor laws.
- Liaise with statutory authorities and ensure timely filings, inspections, and closures.
- Act as the primary SPOC for internal and external HR audits, ensuring zero major observations.
5. HR Policy, Process & Systems
- Design, implement, and update HR policies, SOPs, and operational guidelines aligned with RFH standards.
- Lead HRIS and payroll systems (SAP SuccessFactors / HRMS), ensuring data accuracy and reporting integrity.
6. Budgeting, Cost Optimization & Analytics
- Lead HR budgeting, manpower cost planning, and forecasting across hospital units.
- Present HR MIS, dashboards, and analytics to leadership for decision-making.
- Identify cost optimization opportunities while maintaining employee experience and compliance.
7. Employee Engagement & Employee Relations
- Handle complex employee relations, grievance management, and disciplinary processes.
- Promote a culture of trust, fairness, and performance excellence.
8. People & Leadership
- Build, lead, and develop a high-performing HR Operations team.
- Foster collaboration with Corporate HR, Finance, Legal, IT, and external vendors.
- Enable capability building and succession within the HR Operations function.

ROLE REQUIREMENTS
- Experience: 12–15+ years of experience
- Proven experience of managing large workforces (5,000+ employees) across multiple units.
- Prior experience in large organizations / corporate HR shared services preferred.
