Job Title: Senior Resident – Anaesthesia
Department: Anaesthesiology
Location: Sir H. N. Reliance Foundation Hospital and Research Centre, Girgaon, Mumbai
Reporting To: Consultant / Head of Anaesthesia
Position Type: Full-Time, Contractual
Job Summary:
The Senior Resident in Anaesthesia will support and assist in administering anaesthesia for elective and emergency procedures, manage perioperative care, critical care, and pain relief services under the supervision of consultants.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer general, regional, and local anaesthesia for surgeries and procedures across all specialties.
- Manage pre-operative evaluation and post-operative recovery of surgical patients.
- Provide anaesthesia cover for emergency and trauma cases, including after-hours on-call duties.
- Monitor and manage patients in the ICU and HDU, including ventilator care and invasive monitoring.
- Assist in pain management clinics and acute/chronic pain services.
- Maintain accurate documentation for anaesthetic procedures, records, and critical care notes.
- Participate in department rounds, academic sessions, and audits.
- Supervise junior residents and interns in OT and ICU settings.
- Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols, infection control, and sterilization procedures.
- Any other responsibility as assigned by the Director on the need basis
Eligibility Criteria:
- Qualification: MS / MD / DNB in Anaesthesiology from a recognized institute.
- Registration: Valid registration with the Maharashtra Medical Council (MMC) or State Medical Council.
- Experience: Fresh postgraduates or those with prior residency experience in anaesthesia are encouraged to apply.
Remuneration:
As per hospital/institution policy and candidate’s experience.
