Experience: Minimum 3 Years of experience as a Buyer / Purchase Officer in a Multispecialty Hospital

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Hospital Buyer / Purchase Officer responsible for procurement of medical consumables, pharmaceuticals, surgical items, equipment, and general hospital supplies. The role requires strong vendor management skills, cost control, and coordination with hospital departments to ensure uninterrupted supply.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle end-to-end purchasing for hospital requirements including:
• Medical consumables & disposables
• Pharmaceuticals & surgical items
• Medical equipment & spares
• Non-medical and general supplies
• Generate Purchase Requisitions (PR), Purchase Orders (PO) and ensure timely approvals
• Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with vendors and suppliers
• Ensure cost-effective procurement while maintaining quality standards
• Track inventory levels and coordinate with stores to avoid stock-outs or overstocking
• Follow up on order status, delivery timelines, and discrepancies
• Maintain proper procurement documentation and MIS reports
• Coordinate with Finance, Stores, Biomedical, and Clinical departments
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies, NABH standards, and procurement procedures
• Support vendor audits and rate contract management
