Offshore Structural Engineer – Job Description

Experience : 13 +

Location : Chennai

Salary : 30 Lacs

Industry Type : Oil Gas

Required applicants from EPC and design consultancy experience.

Overview :

 Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering with Minimum 10 of experience related to Offshore Oil & Gas platforms projects. Master’s Degree in Structural will be an advantage.

 Structural Engineer (Offshore) with extensive experience in the oil and gas industry specifically with offshore platform & FPSO Topside module project experience.

Experience with SACS software is mandatory.

Technical Skills:

 Able to perform structural analysis and design calculations independently with minimum guidance from the lead engineer.

 Experience in In-place analysis, pre-service analysis such as Lifting, Transportation, Loadout for Offshore platform and FPSO topside module structure is required.

 Experience in preparing Structural Design calculation (Joint Connections design, Pad eye design, etc) using MS-Excel spreadsheet is required.

 Preferred to have experience in weight control report (WCR) preparation.

 Exposure to offshore codes and standards, guideline such as API, AISC, DNV, ABS, etc is required.

 Experience in 3D Model reviews, drawing checking are preferable.
