Bio-Energy GIS Analyst

Brief responsibilities

·        A GIS & Remote Sensing GIS Analyst is responsible for collecting, analyzing, and interpreting geographic and remote sensing data to support decision-making in Bio-Energy related business

·        Co-ordinate with Field/Survey and State level Bio-Energy team

·        Generate analytical geo-spatial reports, layouts

·        Willingness to travel pan India is must for this role

Qualification

Master’s degree in Geography, Geospatial Science, Geology, Geoinformatics, Environmental Science, Remote Sensing, or related field

Experience / Knowledge

·        Work experience (typically 6-10 years) in GIS and Remote Sensing based geospatial analysis.

·        Have demonstrated experience on land survey, land mapping, crop classification, crop health assessment, crop growth stage assessment & preferably topography, contour, DEM, DSM analysis.

·        Proficiency in GIS and Remote Sensing software and spatial data handling. (ArcGIS, QGIS, ERDAS etc)

·        Experience in satellite image processing and interpretation (e.g., Various Satellite and Drone images).

·        Familiarity with spatial statistics and geospatial modelling techniques, preferably in tableau, R-shiny, Stramlet or any other equivalent.

·        Ability to manage large geospatial datasets and automate workflows using modelling

·        Experience with field data collection and integrating ground truth data and co-ordinate with field or survey team.

·        Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

·        Knowledge of specific application domains (e.g., agriculture, New Energy) is preferable

·        Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
