Mechanical Engineer having 5 to 10 years’ experience in detailed engineering of Combustion engineering equipment / power plant equipment. He or she would be reporting to Manager and responsible for detailed engineering calculations, 3D model review, 2D drawing preparation / checking, Manufacturing drawing preparation/checking, planning and timely completion of detailed engineering activities. He/she would be experienced in basic sizing calculation of equipments like Fan, valve, dampers, Hydraulic system, Heat Exchanger, Burner etc. He should be able to handle team of 3-4 designers with good communication and presentation skills.

Job Description

1.     Diversified product experience like solid fuel, fired boilers, as well as oil and gas fired boilers system combustion systems, if worked on municipal solid waste combustion system is added advantage.

1. Capability in managing designing being well versed in various Material and design codes like ASME, JIS, EN, IS Codes etc.

1. Detailed engineering and planning for Furnace system manufacturing equipment’s, Accessories like Fan, Pump, burner, air damper etc along with non-pressure part of the power plant.
2. Well versed with the basic planning document of the equipment also shall recommended cost effective design solutions.
3. Well versed with AutoCAD, Solid Edge and Microsoft Suit.
4. Capability in managing on time support for the proposal preparation, Bill of quantity calculation and Material Requisition preparation of the equipment’s.
5. Preparation of the Material Requisition, Vendor evaluation and cost compilation with cost effective solution, effective communication with vendor for on time support
6. Design report preparation and able to presents through presentation sheet.

9.     Complete detailing knowledge with comprehensive understanding of different manufacturing, welding details to prepare the detail manufacturing drawing.

1. Material selection based on the requirement with the different material standards ASME, JIS, EN, IS etc. Material Requisitions / BOQ Preparations.
2. Excellence in detail Checking of the manufacturing drawing and release for construction.
3. Preparation of the operational manual / procedure for the equipment.
4. Interface checking and interdepartmental, client and Third party communication.
5. Technical assistance to manufacturer & site technical team as per requirement.
6. Prepared daily reports and progress reports of the project and update all logs and submit to Project Manager.

Responsibilities

1. Responsible for Optimized Design and detail engineering of Furnace Equipment and Accessory equipment.
2. Work planning, monitoring and catchup plan preparation, man-hour planning and recording
3. Check and release GA drawing and fabrication drawings of the Furnace Equipment

1. Maintaining and monitoring the engineering document list.
2. Responsible for the timely completion of the work assigned.

Skills

1. Knowledge of Basic engineering knowledge of power plant equipment’s.
2. Knowledge of Manufacturing drawing and detail design drawing of the furnace equipment.
3. Knowledge of Mechanical design standard like ASME, EN, JIS, IS other international code
4. Knowledge of software like AutoCAD, Solid Edge, MS project, Excel etc.
