Qualification: Graduate/ Post graduate (B.E./B.Tech) in Chemical Engineering

12--15 years’ experience in Process Design Engineering of FEED/EPC of Fertilizer/ Petrochemical/ Refinery Plants 

Job Description/ core competencies: - Experience in Chemical / Petrochemical, Refineries & Environmental Project & Proposal (FEED/FS/BASIC and Detail Engineering) in reputed Engineering /EPC Companies - Knowledge of developing / review of basic and detailed P & I Diagram, Process Flow Diagram, Utility Flow Diagram, MSD, Cause & Effect Diagram, Process Control Philosophy - Knowledge on Fundamental Calculation for Process Engineering (Heat Exchanger, Pump, Columns, Hydraulic Calculations etc - Knowledge of Pre bid Engineering and support in resolving site/ design office queries Key responsibilities : - Manage the Process Engineering activities in accordance with Project requirements within the assigned budget, schedule and quality standards including man-hour estimation / manpower planning. - Preparation / Review of Process documents like Equipment List, Process Datasheet, Equipment Sizing (Pump, Compressor, Heat Exchanger, Columns) etc.. - Preparation / Review of Catalyst & Chemical Summary, Effluent & Emission Summary, Process Hydraulics, Lien List etc.. - Design of utility and offsite services and proposing optimization between process and utility configuration. - Conducting / Monitoring PFD & PID review meetings. - Classification of Hazardous Area and source list. - Alarm List Preparation, control Valve Sizing& other instrument sizing. - Planning and coordinating with Parent Office, Licensor, Client and Inter discipline for clarification meeting, kick off meeting etc... - Ensure effective utilization of resources, control of engineering man-hours, timely issuance of engineering deliverable and monitoring quality and fully engage to diagnose and correct action plan - Continuous improvement in design tools, efficiencies and overall quality of deliverables - Participate in 3D model review, HAZOP, SIL Resolving and close out of HAZOP SIL action items as applicable - Participate and drive value engineering sessions - Assist with hiring, training, and mentoring - Support/ implement departmental quality management programs with proper training programs within the departments to keep staff current on latest technology and procedures.
