Evaluate suppliers based on price, quality, and delivery speed

 Interview vendors and visit suppliers & plants and distribution centers to examine and learn

about products along with related Leed information, services, and prices.

 Attend meetings, trade shows, and conferences to learn about new industry trends and make contacts with suppliers

 Analyze price proposals, financial reports, and other information to determine reasonable

prices and price trends and present it to the management for necessary approval

 Negotiate contracts on behalf of their organization along with Manager – Purchase or

Director - Purchase

 Evaluate and monitor contracts to be sure that vendors and supplies comply with the

terms and conditions of the contract and to determine the need for changes

 Co-ordinate with project staff and vendors to discuss defective or unacceptable goods or

services if any and determine corrective action

 Maintain and review records of items purchased, costs, deliveries, product performance,

and inventories.

 Monitor and evaluate vendor / supplier performance on a periodic basis.

 Ensure that the supplier can deliver the desired goods or services on time, in the correct

quantities, and without sacrificing quality.

 Checking of indent received from project team and direct the purchase team members to

procure materials from shortlisted vendors

 Manage the PO issuing and tracking the material delivery process

 Updating the procurement schedule / tracker to various projects on daily & weekly basis.

 Arranging samples and Shop Drawing for all the ongoing projects as per BOQ or site

requirement.

 Co-ordination and ensure cordial relationship between purchase team, projects, stores &

accounts.

 New product and vendor development across all the regions

 Manage the daily service logistics.

 Adhere to ISO standard requirements.
