·       Essential skills

o  Infrastructure Design & Implementation background with SME skill set on PostgreSQL Database Installation

o  In depth knowledge of the EDB PostgreSQL DB architecture.

o  Sound knowledge on advance PostgreSQL features and Oracle to PostgreSQL migration.

o  Database tuning and query optimization technique.

o  Monitor and maintain the backups for database recoverability for all production databases. Hands on with point in time database recovery

o  Good understanding in High availability features and upgrading/migrating various PostgreSQL database version.

o  Provide technical guidance for integration, planning of new production systems/databases.

o  Provide suggestions/guidance on implementing security features.

·       Relevant Experiences

o  Experience in setting up database replication / HA environment on PostgreSQL database

o  Experience on EDB tools like BART, MTK, xDB replication, PEM, EFM etc.

o  Experience on community-supported tools like Pgbadger, Slony, PGadmin, Pgpool, Pgbouncer.

o  Experience in understanding the requirements of periodic database maintenance activity and setting up through schedulers.

o  Experience in troubleshooting database issues to get quick solution and handling Root Cause analysis for fixing.

o  Perform Disaster Recovery and handling drills as per requirement.
