About the Role:

We are looking for an experienced ServiceNow ITOM Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have over 5 years of experience in ServiceNow development, specializing in IT Operations Management (ITOM). You will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing ITOM solutions on the ServiceNow platform, leveraging your technical expertise to streamline operations, improve automation, and ensure scalability.


As a key member of our ITOM team, you will work closely with stakeholders to define requirements, configure and customize ServiceNow ITOM modules, and ensure seamless integration with other ITSM and ITBM processes.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and implement ServiceNow ITOM solutions, including modules such as Discovery, Service Mapping, Event Management, Orchestration, and Cloud Management.
  • Work with business and technical teams to gather requirements, provide technical advice, and translate business needs into ServiceNow ITOM configurations.
  • Configure and customize the ServiceNow platform to align with ITOM best practices and business requirements.
  • Develop and maintain Discovery schedules, probes, and sensors to ensure the accurate mapping of infrastructure and services.
  • Configure and manage Service Mapping, ensuring proper relationship mapping of business services and infrastructure components.
  • Implement Event Management capabilities to integrate with monitoring tools, enabling proactive issue detection and resolution.
  • Develop orchestration workflows and automation tasks to streamline operational processes.
  • Integrate ITOM solutions with other ServiceNow modules, such as Incident Management, Change Management, and CMDB (Configuration Management Database).
  • Optimize performance and troubleshoot ITOM-related issues to ensure high system availability and reliability.
  • Maintain documentation of configurations, workflows, and customizations.
  • Provide technical support and training to end-users and junior developers as required.
  • Stay up to date with the latest ServiceNow releases, features, and industry trends related to ITOM.


Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience working with ServiceNow, with a strong focus on ITOM (Discovery, Event Management, Service Mapping, Orchestration, Cloud Management).
  • Solid understanding of ITSM processes and how they integrate with ITOM functionalities.
  • Strong experience in configuring and customizing ServiceNow Discovery, Service Mapping, Event Management, and Orchestration modules.
  • Proficiency in JavaScript, Glide scripting, and ServiceNow development techniques.
  • Experience in designing and developing custom workflows, notifications, and integration points in ServiceNow.
  • Knowledge of integration methods such as REST, SOAP, and MID Server for external system integrations.
  • Experience with ServiceNow CMDB, including defining CI (Configuration Item) relationships and dependencies.
  • Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, including networking, servers, databases, and cloud technologies.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve ITOM-related incidents and performance issues effectively.
  • Ability to work in an Agile environment, delivering solutions in iterative sprints.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
