Job Overview

We are seeking an Accountant for a full-time role at Proof-of-Skill. This is a remote role. You will be responsible for managing financial records, ensuring compliance, and supporting day-to-day accounting operations.

Qualifications and Skills

• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
• Proficiency in accounting software (Tally, Zoho Books, or similar)
• Knowledge of GST, TDS, and basic tax compliance in India
• Experience with Excel / Google Sheets for financial tracking
• Attention to detail and high level of accuracy
• Ability to manage invoices, payments, and reconciliations
• Understanding of financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow)
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Ability to handle confidential financial data
• Self-driven with high ownership in a remote setup

Roles and Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate financial records and bookkeeping
• Manage accounts payable and receivable
• Prepare and process invoices, payments, and expense reports
• Handle GST filings, TDS deductions, and compliance requirements
• Reconcile bank statements and financial discrepancies
• Assist in preparing financial statements and reports
• Track company expenses and budgets
• Coordinate with external auditors and consultants
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies
