Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Web Accessibility Tester to join our team at our Hyderabad office. This full-time, mid-level position is perfect for someone with up to 6 years of experience in testing web applications for accessibility compliance. As a web accessibility tester, you will ensure our products are accessible to all users, including those with disabilities, thus reflecting our commitment to inclusivity and diversity.

Qualifications and Skills

• Strong understanding of web accessibility standards and guidelines such as WCAG 2.1.
• Proficient in using screen readers and other assistive technologies, specifically JAWAS, to evaluate and test accessibility.
• Must have practical experience in manual and automated accessibility testing techniques.
• Ability to work collaboratively with design and development teams to implement accessibility features and compliance.
• Experience with various web technologies including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript that are essential to assess accessibility.
• Knowledge of accessibility issues and techniques for resolving them quickly and efficiently.
• A keen eye for detail to identify and troubleshoot accessibility barriers in web applications.
• Familiarity with accessibility evaluation tools and reporting methods to document and communicate findings effectively.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Perform thorough evaluations of our web applications to ensure adherence to accessibility standards.
• Utilize assistive technologies and tools to identify barriers and suggest improvements to design and development teams.
• Create accessibility test plans and reports to evaluate the compliance of digital content with established guidelines.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to formulate strategies that enhance user experience for people with disabilities.
• Continuously monitor and update accessibility practices to align with the latest industry standards and legal requirements.
• Provide training and resources to internal teams to raise awareness and application of accessibility best practices.
• Engage with user feedback to identify areas of improvement and integrate findings into future development processes.
• Contribute to the development and refinement of accessibility policies and procedures within the organization.
