Job Overview

Princo Solutions is seeking a mid-level PDF Accessibility Specialist to join our team in Hyderabad on a full-time basis. The role involves enhancing PDF accessibility by using Adobe Acrobat, PAC, and other relevant tools. As part of our commitment to high-quality solutions, the candidate will work towards delivering accessible documents that comply with industry standards and regulations.

Qualifications and Skills

• Proficiency in Adobe Acrobat, PAC, and PDF Remediation (Mandatory skill).
• Hands-on experience with JAWS for testing document accessibility, ensuring compatibility with screen readers.
• Familiarity with NVDA as a tool for assessing and improving the usability of digital PDFs for individuals with disabilities.
• Experience in using Common Look tools for verifying and validating the accessibility features within PDF documents.
• Understanding of PDF/UA, WCAG standards, and experience ensuring document compliance with these standards.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment to achieve accessibility goals and objectives effectively.
• Strong analytical skills to assess existing documents and identify modifications necessary for accessibility.
• Excellent attention to detail, ensuring that all accessibility attributes are correctly implemented and function as intended.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Create accessible electronic documents that meet ADA, Section 508, and WCAG compliance standards.
• Utilize Adobe Acrobat, PAC, and PDF Remediation techniques to update existing documents for better accessibility.
• Conduct comprehensive accessibility testing using JAWS and NVDA to ensure documents function correctly with screen readers.
• Maintain accurate documentation of PDF accessibility processes and update team members on compliance methodologies.
• Work closely with clients to understand specific accessibility needs and requirements to deliver tailored solutions.
• Participate in training sessions to stay updated on the latest accessibility standards and technology innovations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate accessible PDFs into broader technology solutions effectively.
• Review and troubleshoot reported issues of inaccessibility and provide efficient solutions to rectify these concerns.
