Job Overview

We are seeking a Mid-Level PDF Accessibility Specialist to join our team in Hyderabad or Bengaluru. This is a full-time position requiring a skilled professional who is adept at making PDFs accessible according to WCAG standards. The candidate must have strong expertise in Adobe Acrobat and accessibility auditing to ensure documents are fully accessible to all users.

Qualifications and Skills

• Proficiency in accessibility auditing for digital content with a focus on PDF documents (Mandatory skill).
• Expertise in using Adobe Acrobat for accessibility purposes including making PDFs compliant (Mandatory skill).
• Extensive experience as a PDF Expert, able to deliver high-quality accessible documents (Mandatory skill).
• Solid understanding of the WCAG compliance standards and their implementation in PDF documents.
• Experience with screen reader testing to ensure documents are understandable with assistive technologies.
• Proficiency in using remediation tools to efficiently modify and improve document accessibility.
• Capability in document tagging to ensure proper reading order and navigation of PDFs.
• Ability to identify and implement process improvements for consistent and scalable document accessibility.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive accessibility audits of PDF documents to ensure compliance with WCAG standards.
• Utilize Adobe Acrobat to edit and enhance PDFs, ensuring they meet all accessibility requirements.
• Perform screen reader testing to verify that PDFs are easily navigable and understandable for all users.
• Implement remediation strategies to address and rectify accessibility errors within PDF documents.
• Work collaboratively with the development and design teams to incorporate accessibility best practices in document creation.
• Create detailed documentation and reports outlining accessibility issues and recommended solutions.
• Stay updated on the latest accessibility trends and tools to continuously improve the accessibility process.
• Train and educate team members on accessibility standards and best practices for document preparation.
