Job Overview

We are seeking a mid-level professional for the role of PDF Accessibility at Princo Solutions, based in our Hyderabad office. This is a full-time position focused on ensuring PDFs meet accessibility standards and are compatible with assistive technologies. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and enhancing the accessibility of PDF documents to align with legal and industry standards.

Qualifications and Skills

• Proficient use of Adobe Acrobat Pro DC (Mandatory skill) to create and edit PDFs for accessibility.
• Strong knowledge of PDF/UA Compliance (Mandatory skill) to ensure documents meet universal accessibility standards.
• In-depth understanding of WCAG 2.1 Guidelines (Mandatory skill) for web content accessibility compliance.
• Experience with tagged PDF structure to ensure content is properly organized and accessible.
• Ability to conduct thorough assistive technology testing to validate PDF accessibility.
• Proficiency with accessible PDF wizard to streamline the creation of compliant PDF documents.
• Expertise in Microsoft Word Accessibility to create source documents that export to accessible PDFs.
• Understanding of screen reader compatibility and the ability to test PDFs with devices like JAWS or NVDA.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Create and manage accessible PDF documents that comply with PDF/UA and WCAG 2.1 standards.
• Conduct quality assurance tests using assistive technologies to ensure document accessibility.
• Collaborate with document authors to ensure content from Microsoft Word and other sources is accessible.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge on accessibility standards and best practices in PDF/UA and WCAG compliance.
• Provide training and support to team members on accessibility tools and techniques.
• Analyze existing PDFs for accessibility issues and carry out necessary corrective actions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate accessibility into overall project strategies.
• Document accessibility issues and solutions, providing reports and recommendations to stakeholders.
