Position: Business Development Engineer - East
Reports to: Regional Sales Manager
The Opportunity:
ERLPhase Power Technologies Ltd is planning to augment the sales team, to focus on select market areas for its growth. If you are a self-starter, a dynamic team player, enjoy customer interaction as your profession and are technically well versed with Power Systems in general and with Power System Protection Relays and Recording products in particular, then this may be the position for you.
You would be working out of your home office depending on your location. Travel up to 50% may be required.
The Right Experience:
• Should have worked either in Business Development, Application or Customer service, in a front-end role for at least 5 years.
• Should have some experience of having handled either Transmission, Distribution, Generation utility customers or big industrial customers like oil, refineries, cement, Iron, and steel or renewables.
Work experience in consulting or engineering companies would be useful.
Responsibilities:
Under the leadership and in collaboration with the Regional Sales Manager, perform the following duties:
Identify select Markets and Customers to promote our protection and fault recording products and solutions.
• Responsible for developing and growing the customer base in market segment to meet budget.
• Conduct a competitive analysis and determine new business opportunities for market segment.
• Develop and execute sales strategies and action plans for market segment.
• Work with channel partners for the development and implementation of sales strategy.
• Develop and maintain an expert level of knowledge of ERLPhase products and solutions to electric power system protection and automation.
• Have a good appreciation of competitor products as that could set the base expectations from new customers.
• Help customers and create awareness and interest in ERLlPhase products through visits, demonstrations, training courses and telephone contact.
• In collaboration with the Technical Services Group, provide support and resolve customer concerns providing application notes, white papers, responding to questions, Webex demonstrations etc.
• Assist in the preparation and presentation of successful proposals for Erlphase products, services, and systems. Participate in trade shows and promotional events.
Complete assigned work within agreed schedule and budget to a high level of quality.
Assume Project Management role on assigned projects.
Other duties as assigned.
Skills & Qualifications B.S. in Electrical Engineering or equivalent work experiences.
Minimum 10 years working knowledge of electric power systems and practices & philosophies.
Excellent technical training, speaking, and writing skills.
Very strong computer and business software skills.
Exceptional organization and "get it done" skills.
Multi-tasking and Time management are very essential.
Hiring is subject to successful completion of a background check and drug test.
