Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled and strategic IT Project Manager to oversee the successful delivery of multiple AI/ML-focused initiatives. This role involves leading cross-functional technical teams—including software developers, DevOps engineers, and machine learning experts—while ensuring seamless collaboration, timely execution, and delivery excellence. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in software and AI product lifecycle management, Agile methodologies, and technical program leadership.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead Cross-Functional Engineering Teams: Manage and mentor distributed teams of ML engineers, developers, and DevOps professionals through Agile delivery cycles.
• Agile Project Execution: Define project scopes, objectives, timelines, and deliverables. Facilitate sprint planning, retrospectives, and backlog grooming using tools like Jira or GitHub Projects.
• End-to-End Project Management: Oversee the lifecycle of multiple concurrent AI initiatives—from model development to infrastructure deployment and client delivery.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Translate business and technical requirements into actionable project plans. Serve as the communication bridge between engineering, research, and client-facing teams.
• Quality Assurance & DevOps: Ensure compliance with engineering standards, coordinate CI/CD, manage version control, and validate model performance.
• Resource Planning - optimise the use of cloud infrastructure and human resources.
• Risk Management: Identify and mitigate technical and operational risks to ensure project continuity.
• Performance Monitoring: Track and report KPIs such as sprint velocity, deployment frequency, and issue resolution times.
• Continuous Improvement: Promote a culture of feedback, learning, and process optimization.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years in project management, including at least 2 years managing software or AI/ML engineering teams.
• Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with AI/ML development lifecycles, cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or GCP), and DevOps tools such as Docker, Kubernetes, GitHub Actions, and Jenkins.
• Tools & Methodologies: Hands-on experience with Jira, Confluence, and other Agile/Scrum project management tools.
• Leadership & Communication: Demonstrated success in leading high-performing teams in a fast-paced, tech-driven environment. Excellent communication skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Preferred Certifications: PMP, CSM, or cloud/AI project management credentials.
