Position Overview

Replicon, the Time Intelligence company, has over 20 years of industry leadership and is pioneering a new approach to time management. This position is responsible for configuring, deploying, and maintaining software and hardware systems that support Replicon’s Products as well as client-facing systems in a cloud environment. This person will be capable of performing a broad range of IT duties in an individual and team-based capacity with a strong technical background through education and hands-on experience. Successful candidates will have a demonstrated record of designing, deploying, monitoring, and maintaining mission-critical production manufacturing systems and networks.

Eligibility criteria of candidates

Experience

●     Minimum of 2 years experience in Database Administration

Skills required:

●     Good working knowledge of MS SQL and PostgreSQL

●     Good understanding of the difference between relational and non-relational databases.

●     Good experience with AWS native platforms such as RDS, Aurora, DynamoDB, etc.

●     Backup and recovery of the database with data integrity.

●     Performance management, tuning of the databases to remove bottlenecks, and ensuring availability.

●     General database management like monitoring, procedures to purge, etc.

●     Working knowledge of Windows and Linux server operating systems.

●     Good understanding of basic Cloud Services Models

●     Ability to effectively work individually or in a team environment

●     Ability to deal with and resolve complex situations in a professional manner

●     Ability to handle multiple tasks/projects simultaneously

●     Adapt to any new changes in the technology and infrastructure used within the organization

Responsibilities

●     Work with the operations team to help with customer database issues and deal with standard operational activities for production systems

●     Assist in daily administration activities including setup, configuration, and monitoring of databases to ensure backups, availability and performance are all maintained to the highest standards.

●     Identify Business Critical alerts from all production databases and find a root cause and solution

●     Tuning, troubleshooting, and on-call production support for database environments deployed in multi-AZ AWS environments both on the EC2 and RDS/Aurora platforms.

●     Monitor and work the JIRA ticket queue for requests to make schema changes, security changes, execute scripts against the databases

●     Advise application development and support teams on process bottlenecks and provide database tuning to ensure optimal performance.

●     Provide 24*7 on-call support (includes holidays) in production and non-production environments.
