Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented Safety Engineer to oversee and improve our safety programs in line with applicable regulations. This is a short term project where the Safety Engineer will play a key role in ensuring the safety of our operations by conducting inspections, developing safety programs, and promoting a safety-first culture. For our short term project day 15 days project.

Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety and Health, Engineering, or a related field.
• 1 years of experience as a Safety Engineer, preferably in the water treatment or a related industry.
• Strong knowledge of safety regulations and standards., OSHA, local regulations
• Experience in hazard identification, risk assessment, and incident investigation.
• Excellent communication, training, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive safety programs in compliance with all applicable regulations
• Conduct regular safety inspections and audits of facilities and operations to identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions.
• Perform risk assessments and job safety analyses (JSAs) to identify and mitigate workplace hazards.
• Investigate accidents and incidents to determine root causes and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Develop and deliver safety training programs for employees and contractors on various safety topics, including hazard communication, personal protective equipment (PPE), confined space entry, and emergency response.
• Maintain safety records and documentation, including accident reports, training records, and inspection reports.
• Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of safety programs and recommend improvements.
• Collaborate with management and employees to promote a strong safety culture.
• Stay up-to-date on current safety regulations and best practices.
• Manage and maintain safety equipment, including PPE and emergency response equipment.
• Conduct emergency drills and exercises to prepare for potential incidents.
• Work closely with the operations team to ensure safe work practices are followed.
• Oversee contractor safety and ensure compliance with company safety standards.
