About the Role

KJBN Labs is on a mission to transform agriculture with intelligent technology. We're looking for a Senior Backend Developer (Python) who believes in writing clean, maintainable code and follows clean architecture principles to build scalable, robust systems.

You'll lead the development of high-performance backend services and be a key contributor in shaping our engineering standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable backend systems using Python (FastAPI, Django, or Flask)
• Architect microservices with clean architecture and domain-driven design
• Write clean, modular, and testable code that follows best practices and coding standards
• Build and maintain secure RESTful APIs and data pipelines
• Collaborate with Product, DevOps, and Data teams for seamless feature delivery
• Conduct code reviews and mentor junior engineers

Requirements

• 4–7 years of hands-on backend development experience in Python
• Strong grip on clean code, SOLID principles, and scalable system design
• Experience with SQL/NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB, etc.)
• Familiarity with Docker, Git workflows, CI/CD pipelines
• Cloud experience (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
• Deep understanding of REST APIs, asynchronous programming, and debugging

Nice to Have

• Exposure to AgriTech, IoT platforms, or real-time data applications
• Experience with Kafka, RabbitMQ, or other message brokers
• Knowledge of deploying ML models or data-intensive systems
