About the Role:
We’re seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Automotive Operations Manager to oversee post-sales operations in a fast-paced automotive environment. This role is crucial in ensuring a seamless ownership transfer experience, managing external partners like RTO agents, challan vendors, banks, and ensuring operational excellence via data-driven decisions.
Key Responsibilities:
Post-Sales Operations Management:
- Own and streamline the post-sale journey including RC (Registration Certificate) transfers, insurance handling, hypothecation removal, and challan resolution.
Vendor & Stakeholder Management:
- Liaise with external vendors and partners such as RTO agents, banks, insurance companies, and challan clearance vendors. Ensure SLAs are met and issues are resolved on time.
Process Optimization:
- Identify bottlenecks in the post-sales process and design SOPs to improve TAT (Turnaround Time), customer satisfaction, and compliance.
Data & Dashboard Management:
- Create and manage dashboards to monitor KPIs related to post-sale workflows. Drive insights using Google Sheets, Excel (incl. Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP), and dashboards.
Documentation & Compliance:
- Ensure accurate record-keeping of all ownership transfer documentation and maintain compliance with regional RTO and banking guidelines.
Cross-functional Collaboration:
- Work closely with Sales, Finance, Legal, and Tech teams to ensure smooth handover of customer accounts post-sale.
Requirements:
- 3-6 years of experience in automotive operations, vehicle delivery management, or related functions.
- Proven track record in managing post-sale ops including RC transfer, challan clearance, and liaising with banks.
- Excellent command over MS Excel, Google Sheets, and dashboard tools; ability to analyze and present data meaningfully.
- Strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize and work in a dynamic, high-growth environment.
- Understanding of automotive regulations, RTO compliance, and vehicle documentation preferred.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in a used-car platform, auto fintech, or auto services startup.
- Knowledge of state-wise RTO processes and timelines.
- Familiarity with CRM tools or ticketing platforms for managing post-sale workflows.
