ServiceNow Architect will primarily focus on designing and delivering ServiceNow ITSM solutions that are developed on dedicated and/or shared service tenant platforms. He/She adapts existing methods and procedures to create possible solutions to moderately complex problems. He/She understands the strategic direction set and uses considerable judgment to determine solution and seeks guidance on complex problems. He/She determines methods and procedures on new assignments and collaborates with other team members. The primary interaction is with CoE Lead/Principal Architect and may interact with peers and/or other management levels.
· Designing, building, testing, and deploying ITSM solutions in ServiceNow for MSP and/or dedicated customers
· Develop, design CMDB and other ITSM modules, workflows and catalog requests
· Provide software configuration and customization including, but not limited to: screen tailoring, workflow administration, report setup, data imports, integration, custom scripting and third-party software integrations
· Obtain and analyze business requirements, recommend solutions that deliver customer value focusing on usability, performance, flexibility, testability and standardization
· Design, develop, publish and maintain visualizations/dashboards based on various BI reporting requirement
· Knowledge on integrating ServiceNow with 3rd party tools and applications (AIOps, APM, ESM, Cloud) like Nagios, SolarWinds, Splunk, New Relic, Azure/AWS Public Cloud, and others
· Knowledge on integrating ServiceNow with other ITSM tools like ServiceNow, Remedy, Cherwell, Jira, SummitAI and others
· Collaborate with teams as needed to integrate systems, develop, and execute cross-platform solutions
What is the experience required?
· Overall 10+ years of IT experience with 5+ years of experience in design, implementation, administration, configuration/development of the ServiceNow ITSM, ITOM, ITAM platform and IT Process Automation
· ServiceNow Experience should include tool configuration, design work, technical configuration, and deployment of
• ITSM modules: Design Creation and/or customization of the core applications of CMDB, Incident, Problem, Change and Release, Service Level Management, Event Management, Knowledge Management, Service Catalog, CSATs, Dashboards & Reporting, Out of the box and Custom Integrations
• ITAM modules: End to end asset lifecycle management
• ITOM modules: Discovery, Event Management, Cloud Management
• Business and System/Process Automation (Orchestration) experience
· Experience with working or developing in any one of the following programming languages: JavaScript, PHP, C, Java, Perl, Shell, Python or any other
· Background in ITIL and ITSM with excellent business acumen and problem-solving aptitude
What are the competencies required?
- Design and delivery of technical solutions based on the ServiceNow platform
- Leadership skills in technical initiatives
- Generating detailed documentation and Communications that clearly articulate solutions and the ability to perform demonstrations
- Understanding of Configuration Management DB aligned to ITIL
- Web Services Integration (SOAP, REST, and JSON)
- Experience implementing systems using the Agile/Scrum methodology
- Experienced in the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) processes including customer requirement analysis and system design
- Administration of a ServiceNow instance including the delegation of groups, modification of CMS, workflows, business rules, UI actions, UI policies, ACLs, dictionary, catalog items and updates of all other existing solutions requiring revisions
- ITIL certifications and ServiceNow Certifications is a plus
- Strong consulting skills, ability to establish strong customer relationship with proven abilities to take initiative and be innovative and an analytical mind with a problem-solving aptitude
- Strong responsibility and accountability; sound analysis, resolution, judgment, negotiating and decision-making skills
- BSc/BA/BE/B.Tech in Computer Science, Engineering or relevant field
- Excellent written, presentation, oral communication and interpersonal skills
- Self-directed and capable of working in a dynamic environment
- Ability and enthusiasm to explore and move beyond specific boundaries of technology areas
