Job Title: Proposal Engineer

Location: Alwarpet, Chennai.

Job Summary:

As a Proposal Engineer, you will be responsible for preparing technical and commercial proposals in response to customer inquiries and tenders. You will work closely with sales, engineering, procurement, and project management teams to develop compelling, accurate, and competitive proposals.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Analyze RFQs, RFPs, and tender documents to understand project requirements.
2. Develop comprehensive proposals, including technical documentation, cost estimates, and schedules.
3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather required information for proposals.
4. Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain pricing and technical details.
5. Ensure compliance with client specifications, industry standards, and company guidelines.
6. Present and defend proposal content internally and, when required, to clients.
7. Continuously improve proposal templates, tools, and processes.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, or related field).
• 2–5 years of experience in proposal or estimating roles with customers.
• Strong technical writing and documentation skills.
• Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with proposal software or ERP systems is a plus.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Preferred:

*Familiarity with international bidding standards and contract structures.

*Experience with [industry-specific software or tools, e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, SAP] is preferred.
