Job Summary:

A Hardware Designer is responsible for designing, developing, and testing electronic circuits, components, and systems for various applications. They work closely with engineers and product teams to create efficient, reliable, and cost-effective hardware solutions while ensuring compliance with industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Hardware Design & Development: Design and develop electronic circuits, PCBs, and embedded systems based on project requirements.
• Component Selection: Identify and evaluate suitable electronic components to optimize performance, power consumption, and cost.
• Schematic & PCB Design: Create schematics, PCB layouts, and oversee fabrication using industry-standard tools (e.g., Altium, Eagle, OrCAD).
• Prototyping & Testing: Develop prototypes, conduct debugging, and validate designs through rigorous testing.
• Signal Integrity & Power Management: Ensure proper signal integrity, thermal management, and power efficiency in hardware designs.
• Collaboration & Documentation: Work with cross-functional teams, including software engineers and mechanical designers, and maintain detailed design documentation.
• Compliance & Standards: Ensure hardware designs meet industry regulations such as FCC, CE, RoHS, and other relevant safety standards.
• Optimization & Innovation: Continuously improve designs for performance, scalability, and manufacturability while keeping up with emerging technologies.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or a related field.
• Experience: 3+ years of experience in hardware design, circuit design, or embedded systems.
• Technical Expertise: Proficiency in PCB design software (Altium, KiCad, OrCAD), microcontrollers, FPGA, power electronics, and signal processing.
• Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills for debugging hardware issues.
• Communication Skills: Ability to work collaboratively in a team and document technical specifications clearly.
• Certifications (Preferred): IPC Certified Interconnect Designer (CID), Embedded Systems Certification, or equivalent.
