Job description
We are seeking a highly skilled US Payroll Implementation Lead to drive the successful execution of Neeyamo payroll system for clients. This critical role ensures seamless payroll operations, compliance with US federal and state regulations, and smooth integration with existing HRIS platforms. The ideal candidate will be a strategic leader, able to oversee complex payroll system implementations and ensure client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Project Management:
- Lead full-cycle payroll implementation projects, from initiation to completion, ensuring on-time delivery.
- Develop and manage project plans, timelines, milestones, and resource allocations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with project scope and deliverables.
- Oversee system configuration, testing, and deployment activities.
- Regularly update stakeholders on project progress, addressing risks and resolving issues proactively.
2. Technical Expertise:
- Serve as the subject matter expert (SME) for US payroll systems and processes.
- Configure and customize payroll systems to meet business needs and compliance standards.
- Ensure seamless integration of payroll systems with HRIS and related platforms.
- Provide technical oversight for payroll data migration, validation, and issue resolution.
3. Compliance & Regulations:
- Ensure payroll processes comply with all applicable federal, state, and local laws.
- Stay current on payroll-related legislative updates, implementing necessary system changes.
- Work closely with legal and compliance teams to maintain adherence to regulatory requirements.
4. Testing & Validation:
- Collaborate with testing teams to design and execute system test cases and UAT scenarios.
- Lead parallel payroll runs and system validations to ensure data accuracy. Troubleshoot and resolve implementation issues, working with technical teams as needed.
5. Training & Documentation:
- Create and deliver comprehensive payroll system training for internal and client teams to Maintain detailed documentation, including process manuals and system guides.
6. Post-Implementation Support:
- Provide post-go-live support to ensure a smooth transition to operational payroll
- processing.
- Address post-implementation issues, optimize system performance, and recommend improvements.
7. Team Leadership & Development:
- Mentor and train team members, identifying skill gaps and coordinating additional training. Evaluating team performance, provide feedback, and drive continuous improvement.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, HR, IT, or a related field.
- Experience: 8-10 years of US payroll management experience, with strong expertise
in payroll system implementations.
Technical Proficiency:
- Experience with leading US payroll software platforms such as ADP,
Workday, Ceridian, Paychex, or other enterprise-level payroll systems.
- In-depth knowledge of US payroll regulations, tax laws, and compliance
requirements.
- Proficiency in project management methodologies desired.
Certifications:
- CPP (Certified Payroll Professional), FPC (Fundamental Payroll Certification), or other recognized US payroll certifications such as APA Payroll
- Compliance Practitioner (PCP) or Certified Payroll Manager (CPM) preferred.
