Job Description: Lead- Content & Editorial Marketing
Location: Chennai, India

Role Overview:
We’re seeking a dynamic leader who will spearhead Neeyamo’s editorial strategy and execution. This role is key to crafting a compelling brand narrative that aligns with our position as a global payroll technology and services leader. You’ll lead a talented editorial team, oversee content production, and maintain consistency across marketing channels. Key Responsibilities:
1. Editorial Foundation
∙ Product Lexicon Library:
o Oversee the creation and maintenance of a structured lexicon for Neeyamo’s products and services.
o Ensure consistency in how products, modules, sub-modules, components, and features are described.
o Align product terminology with both internal stakeholders and the end users (buyer personas).
∙ Editorial Style Guide:
o Establish and enforce a consistent editorial style that reflects Neeyamo's brand personality.
o Ensure consistency in language usage, technical terms, and "Neeyamo lingos" across all content.
o Develop guidelines for tone, voice, and editorial integrity for internal and external communications.
∙ User Personas:
o Create detailed personas representing key buyer segments and company stakeholders.
o Use personas to guide content creation, ensuring it resonates with target audiences.
2. Content Strategy
∙ Content Library:
o Develop and manage a content library that includes both internally developed and collaboratively created content.
o Oversee production of on-demand content including podcasts, videos, blogs, and downloadable resources.
∙ Content Marketing:
o Lead SEO strategies and ensure content distribution aligns with best practices.
o Work closely with digital marketing teams to amplify the reach of editorial content.
3. Team Management:
∙ Manage and mentor a team of content writers, editors, and creative personnel.
∙ Establish performance goals, provide feedback, and foster a collaborative environment.
4. Stakeholder Collaboration:
∙ Work with product, marketing, and sales teams to align editorial efforts with Neeyamo's business goals.
∙ Collaborate with external content creators, partners, and industry thought leaders to bring fresh perspectives into Neeyamo’s content.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
∙ Editorial & Content Creation:
o Strong understanding of editorial strategy and execution.
o Proven experience in developing editorial style guides and managing product lexicons.
o Ability to create and guide high-quality content that resonates with both technical and non-technical audiences.
∙ Content Marketing & SEO:
o Hands-on experience with content marketing strategies, including SEO and digital content distribution.
o Experience in managing multi-format content (podcasts, blogs, videos, etc.).
∙ Project & Team Management:
o Strong leadership skills with experience managing a small editorial or content team.
o Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
∙ Industry Knowledge:
o Experience in B2B, preferably in the tech or global payroll space, is an added advantage.
o Familiarity with Neeyamo’s product ecosystem or global HR solutions is preferred but not mandatory.
∙ Analytical & Creative:
o A blend of analytical mindset with a creative approach to editorial and content development.
o Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain consistency across multiple content types.
∙ Communication:
o Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
o Strong collaboration skills and ability to work across teams to gather insights and feedback.
Preferred Experience:
∙ 2-5 years of experience in editorial marketing, content strategy, or a similar role.
∙ Proven experience managing content teams or working in cross-functional content development environments.
