Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and proactive Network Engineer / Network Administrator (Level 2) to join our IT team. The ideal candidate will have 3-4 years of experience in managing and maintaining network infrastructure, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring the seamless operation of enterprise network environments. The candidate will be responsible for supporting, configuring, optimizing, and securing our network infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

• Network Administration: Manage, monitor, and maintain LAN/WAN, VPN, firewalls, and network security solutions.
• Troubleshooting & Support: Diagnose and resolve network-related issues, escalating to Level 3 or vendors as needed.
• Configuration & Deployment: Implement and maintain routers, switches, firewalls, and other network devices.
• Security & Compliance: Ensure network security by implementing best practices, firewall policies, and access controls.
• Performance Optimization: Monitor network performance and conduct regular analysis to optimize efficiency.
• Documentation: Maintain network diagrams, configurations, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams to support IT operations, infrastructure, and cybersecurity initiatives.
• Vendor Coordination: Engage with service providers and vendors for issue resolution, upgrades, and new implementations.
• Backup & Recovery: Ensure network redundancy and disaster recovery plans are up to date and tested.
• Compliance & Policies: Ensure adherence to organizational and regulatory compliance standards.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Certifications (Preferred): CCNA, Network+, Fortinet NSE, or equivalent.
• Networking Knowledge: Strong understanding of TCP/IP, VLANs, routing protocols (OSPF, BGP, EIGRP), VPNs, and firewalls.
• Hands-on Experience: Working with Cisco, Juniper, Fortinet, Palo Alto, or similar network devices.
• Security Awareness: Familiarity with network security best practices, firewall rules, IDS/IPS, and SIEM solutions.
• Troubleshooting Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities in diagnosing network issues and proposing effective solutions.
• Monitoring Tools: Experience with network monitoring tools like PRTG, SolarWinds, Nagios, or Zabbix.
• Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to document and present technical information clearly.
• Team Player: Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced IT environment.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with Firewalls and Security Devices.
• Experience with cloud networking (AWS, Azure, or GCP) is a plus.
• Familiarity with ITIL framework and change management processes.
• Understanding of SD-WAN, VoIP, and wireless network technologies.
