Job Objective
Responsible for managing and nurturing key client accounts within the e-commerce channel. This role involves developing and maintaining strong relationships with clients, understanding their business needs, and strategizing to meet and exceed their expectations.
The Key Account Manager will drive growth and profitability through effective account management strategies.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with key client accounts in the e-commerce channel.
- Serve as the point of contact for clients, addressing their inquiries, concerns, and needs in a timely and professional manner.
- Conduct regular meetings with clients to understand their evolving business objectives and challenges.
- Develop comprehensive account plans for key clients, outlining strategies to achieve growth, profitability and customer satisfaction targets.
- Achieve revenue/sales targets as specified.
- Analyse market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments to identify opportunities for account growth and expansion.
- Identify and pursue opportunities to upsell or cross-sell additional products or services to existing clients, thereby increasing revenue and maximizing account value.
- Prepare regular reports and presentations summarizing account performance and opportunities for improvement.
- Work closely with internal teams such as sales, marketing, operations and logistics to ensure seamless execution of account strategies.
Qualification & Experience
- A minimum of 6-8 years of experience in a similar role.
- Must be a Graduate, preferably with an MBA or equivalent degree.
Key Skills & Competencies
- Proven experience in account management or sales within the e-commerce channel, with a track record of successfully managing key client relationships.
- Strong understanding of e-commerce trends, technologies, and best practices.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
