Job Description: Category Specialist-
Travel Distribution Commercial Partnership & Strategy
• Airline Fare Understanding and Analysis: Evaluate airline fares provided by strategic partners/airlines or other suppliers through various distribution sources and analyse on daily/weekly basis for multiple Routes, Schedules, Dates etc and benchmark through various data points internally and externally for its competitiveness. Should have good knowledge and understanding about fares and its components to check relevance or deviations to report back with insights.
• Competition Monitoring: Initiate research activities and gather market intelligence through internal and external networking to collect competitive information including price points, ongoing promotions, exclusive deals etc across various global geographies including Meta engines and aggregators and work along CPS and SCO team to optimise or improve potential opportunity.
• Sales & Account Management: Assist Category Manager within Commercial Partnership & Strategy team in identifying potential partner or airline lead, share data insights to navigate through supplier negotiation, manage and assist in completion of commercial contracts. Work and update HubSpot for all sales activities towards identified leads. Respond to queries, task or projects where CPS team is involved along with any internal and external stakeholders. Maintain cordial business contacts within any assigned supplier portfolio on first line of operation and business, which includes Airlines or other strategic suppliers.
• Support Partner Strategy: Participate and work with the team to support and execute our distribution, fulfilment and payments strategy adopted across geography, partners or Airlines. Work with internal teams like Finance, Operation, Product, Technology etc to manage day today workflow to execute agreed partner strategy. Evaluate success metrics towards supplier schemes or deals. Identifying and reporting any deviations on supplier fees, cost components etc
. • Conduct Data analysis for Business support and growth – Analyse multiple data points to drive insights that can be effective for business growth and bring results. Key Skills
• Highly comfortable with all GDS, Fare Analysis methods, Fare Filing knowledge. Good to have knowledge on BI tools and API workflow etc.
• Knowledgeable about Airline and Supplier Deals, Data and Price Points, Travel workflow process, Online booking engine and other distribution tools,
• Good in use of Advance Excel, PowerPoint etc besides comfortable with data tabulation, statistics for reporting and presentation
• Should be open to some extended work hours on any need basis for completion of business or organisation goal.
• Good communication skills Criteria
• Min- 2-3 years of work experience within travel industry or travel related organisation with good understanding about travel business operation.
• Min 1 year experience in Mystifly.
• Should not have been in PIP from last 1year.
