About the Role:

We are looking for a passionate and experienced Backend WordPress Developer with 3–4 years of hands-on experience in building, customizing, and maintaining WordPress websites. The ideal candidate should have a solid foundation in PHP, MySQL, jQuery, and WordPress plugin/theme development, with a strong understanding of best practices in coding, performance, and security.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop custom WordPress themes and plugins based on project requirements.
• Build dynamic and interactive features using jQuery and AJAX.
• Collaborate with frontend developers and designers to deliver visually appealing and functional websites.
• Optimize websites for performance, SEO, and user experience.
• Manage and query WordPress databases using MySQL.
• Perform regular debugging, testing, and maintenance of WordPress sites.
• Implement website security, data protection, and backup protocols.
• Work with tools like Git for version control and collaborative development.
• Communicate effectively with internal teams and clients to understand and fulfill requirements.

Key Skills & Competencies:

• WordPress Core, Plugin & Theme Development
• Strong proficiency in PHP, MySQL, HTML5, CSS3, jQuery
• Experience with page builders like Elementor, WPBakery, etc.
• Knowledge of ACF (Advanced Custom Fields), Contact Form 7, and WooCommerce
• Proficient in Git and version control workflows
• Strong understanding of MVC architecture (Laravel/CodeIgniter experience is a plus)
• Ability to debug and troubleshoot WordPress sites
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
• Team-oriented with a collaborative mindset
• Fluent in English (knowledge of Hindi/Gujarati is a plus)

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
• Experience working in a fast-paced agency environment
• Familiarity with performance optimization techniques (caching, image compression, database tuning)
• Hands-on experience with tools like Query Monitor, Chrome DevTools, or similar
