We are seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Specialist to join our team in Ahmedabad. In this mid-level, full-time position, you will handle payroll activities, focusing on compliance with US payroll regulations. Your expertise in US accounting and payroll processing, including 1099 forms, will be crucial in delivering payroll services effectively and accurately. - Ability to manage multiple payrolls simultaneously and adhere to strict deadlines under pressure.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively liaise with stakeholders and resolve payroll-related queries.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, to manage payroll data efficiently.
- Detail-oriented with exceptional problem-solving skills to handle discrepancies and issues swiftly.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Process and manage payroll cycles for clients, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and company policies.
- Prepare and submit 1099 forms and related documents in accordance with federal and state regulations.
- Maintain payroll records, including employee data, tax information, and other related documentation.
- Collaborate with the finance team to reconcile payroll accounts and ensure accuracy of financial data.
- Respond to payroll-related inquiries and provide support to employees regarding paychecks and deductions.
- Ensure payroll tax filings are completed timely and accurately, including year-end payroll tax reports.
- Conduct regular audits on payroll procedures and records to ensure efficiency and accuracy.
- Stay updated on changes in payroll regulations and adapt processes to ensure ongoing compliance.
