Roles & Responsibilities of Corporate SAP Head
Position: Corporate SAP Head
Reporting to: Director-HR, SAP & IT
Role :
To lead corporate SAP department to ensure the following:
• Plan, implement, improve, automate, sustain and monitor business processes by using SAP & other tools to enhance efficiency.
• Build and manage team, develop department culture inculcating a positive approach.
Responsibilities
• To strategize and define business processes, implement and automate the same using SAP and other necessary platforms to meet company’s needs.
• To plan and implement SAP in new areas of business.
• To improve existing business processes by studying the same for its feasibility and implementation through SAP.
• To ensure resolution of problems reported day to day.
• To develop, implement and enforce ERP best practices across the organization.
• To develop SAP policies, procedures and best practices for enhancing business processes efficiencies.
• To develop dashboards & MIS for Plant & corporate Management.
• To prepare & control the annual SAP Infrastructure and Application budget including manpower, AMC & projects.
• To ensure relationship and AMC management with SAP.
• To ensure timely implementation of statutory or other upgrades/changes as required by business and proposed by SAP.
• To upgrade SAP system from time to time to meet business needs.
• To ensure continuously auditing of SAP system for smooth functioning.
• To control access and authorization for smooth functioning of SAP system.
• To integrate SAP system from time to time with other specific platforms as required due to business needs.
• To ensure unhindered continuity of business processes in SAP by ensuring no unplanned down time.
• To enhance personal knowledge relating to business process automation ideas and tools including SAP by continuously studying and training.
• To circulate MIS and get it reviewed with the Head of the department and CEO.
• To ensure team building and skill enhancement of team members through training from time to time.
• To ensure no accident in the department by taking safety measures, use of PPE, and training to employees for safe practice, following work instructions, maintaining 5-S etc.
• To ensure harmonious relationship with employees by not using at any cost any harsh/rough language or being physical.
• To ensure approval of OT/Leaves/Advance/attendance correction of the team reporting to him as per company policy and procedures.
• To ensure all the team members in the department including self has their R&R, DWM and KRA defined as well as KRA’s being monitored monthly and corrective action taken to improve accountability and efficiency at all levels in the department.
