We are looking for a detail-oriented Data Collection & Research Intern to support our Business Development and Marketing teams with structured data gathering and reporting from global food and ingredient sectors.

Job Overview

As a Data Collection & Research Intern, your role is to gather, verify, and organize crucial data that supports decision-making across marketing, sales, and strategy. You will gain experience in online data sourcing, competitor tracking, and organizing valuable inputs that help fuel outreach and growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Collect relevant data from online sources including industry directories, trade portals, government export sites, and LinkedIn.
• Compile lists of target companies, products, buyers, and regions based on guidance from the BD team.
• Validate and clean the collected data for accuracy and consistency.
• Format and maintain Excel/Google Sheets databases with proper tagging.
• Assist in preparing market summaries, export trend reports, and segment overviews.
• Track competitor activities, pricing info, and client profiles from open sources.
• Ensure collected data is well-organized and backed up for easy access.
• Support the team with data inputs during sales campaigns, trade events, or product launches.

Qualifications

• Current enrolment in a Bachelor’s degree program (preferably in Business, Marketing, Agriculture, Food Technology, MBA or a related field).
• Strong interest in market research, data analysis towards food and agriculture industry.
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and draw meaningful conclusions.
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and familiarity with Google Workspace.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for presenting findings clearly.
• Proactive, detail-oriented, and eager to learn in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team setting.
