Job Description

We are looking for a skilled Fund Accounting Associate to join our team at HDFC bank, Vikhroli. As part of a four-member team, you will play a key role in handling fund accounting operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and supporting critical investment processes. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in fund accounting procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

• NAV Calculation: Assist in the daily/periodic computation of Net Asset Value (NAV) for various funds.
• Reconciliations: Perform cash, position, and trade reconciliations with custodians, fund managers, and internal records.
• Financial Reporting: Prepare and review financial statements, investor reports, and fund performance summaries.
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to accounting standards, SEBI regulations, and other applicable laws.
• Excel & Accounting Tools: Utilize Excel and fund accounting software for data analysis, reporting, and automation of processes.
• Audit & Controls: Coordinate with auditors for fund audits and maintain proper documentation for compliance.
• Process Improvement: Identify inefficiencies in fund accounting procedures and suggest automation or process enhancements.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related fields.
• Candidates pursuing professional qualifications such as CA, CPA, or CFA are encouraged to apply
• Prior experience in fund accounting or financial services preferred.
• Strong understanding of NAV calculations, reconciliations, and investment accounting principles.
• Advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Macros preferred).
• Attention to detail and ability to meet strict reporting deadlines.
• Good communication skills to coordinate with internal and external stakeholders.
