Job Summary:

The IB Career Counselor will guide and support students in the International Baccalaureate (IB) programs (DP/CP/MYP) in making informed academic and career choices. The role involves conducting career assessments, organizing university guidance sessions, and assisting students with college applications and documentation while ensuring alignment with IB philosophy and learner profile.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide personalized career and college counseling to IB students (DP/CP).
• Assist students in identifying suitable career paths, universities, and courses globally and in India.
• Guide students through university application processes (UCAS, Common App, etc.).
• Conduct career guidance workshops, aptitude assessments, and informational sessions.
• Maintain updated knowledge of higher education systems, scholarships, and admission trends.
• Collaborate with faculty, coordinators, and parents to support students’ academic and career goals.
• Coordinate with universities for campus visits, fairs, and counseling sessions.
• Prepare reports, maintain student counseling records, and update guidance materials.
• Support students with documentation such as transcripts, recommendation letters, and essays.
• Promote the IB learner profile through holistic career and personal development planning.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Counseling, Education, or a related field.
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in student counseling, preferably in an IB or international school.
• Strong understanding of global university admission processes.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
• Familiarity with career assessment tools and online application portals.

Preferred:

• Certification in career counseling (e.g., GCC, UCLA Extension, or equivalent).
• Experience with IB Diploma Programme or Career-related Programme.
• Exposure to global education systems and university networks.
