Roles and Responsibilities

• Morning rouser as per schedule.
• Ensuring that children report on time (Morning P.T./Evening prep/Sunday or Holiday meals/School event).
• Inspection of the students that they are wearing proper kit, making beds, maintaining their wardrobe.
• Ensure to take care of the basic hygiene of the students and inform in case there is some medical or an emergency situation.
• Strictly adhere to the phone policy of the school. Managing telephone calls of the children and keeping a record of the same.
• Ensuring cleanliness of the entire dormitory supervising the Housekeeping & House Maid staff.
• Any maintenance work should be forwarded to the maintenance department and follow up accordingly. Keep record of daily work/laundry.
• Reporting Maintenance and Upkeep of the common rooms, Cable TV, Board games etc.
• Reporting Vandalism by students ensuring they are debited.
• Preparing list of students clothes and updating any damages/replacements.
• Ensuring that children are inside the dormitories during the rest time.
• Locking of dormitories during morning conditioning/ Games/Activities/Evening prep/school function time. Ensuring that lights and fans are off.
• Ensuring students leave for activities/remedial/extra classes and games on time.
• Ensuring students sit for night prep (post dinner) as per the schedule.
• Lights off on time and ensuring no movement late night.
• Taking frequent rounds and be vigilant.
• Reporting & discussing matters related to the house/pupils with the Academic Director
• Present for all meals/refreshment/assembly.
• Counseling children.
• Compliance of any other duty given by Head of Boarding and House Master/Mistress.
• Safety and security of their pupils.
• Maintaining Bulling and Ragging free zone.
• Inculcating social virtues.
• Preparing them to be leaders and fine citizens.

Desired Candidate Profile

• The post requires someone who likes and understands young people and is able to demonstrate good sense. They should have good personal inter-active skills with young people and their parents and guardians by being a good listener, flexible in outlook, reliable, warm and friendly in disposition, with sufficient sensitivity to show tact and diplomacy.
