Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Special Educator who will work closely with students who have diverse learning needs, providing personalized support and instruction to help them reach their full potential. 

Your responsibilities will include:

• Assessing students' abilities, developing Individualized Education Plans (IEPs).
• Implementing effective teaching strategies. 
• Collaborate with classroom teachers, parents, and other professionals to create an inclusive and supportive learning environment for all students.
• Adapt instructional materials and strategies to meet the diverse needs of students.
• Provide specialized instruction in various subjects or skills, including reading, writing, math, and social skills.
• Stay updated on best practices, research, and laws related to special education.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student progress, IEPs, and related documentation.
• Complete the required reports and paperwork in a timely manner.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Special Education or a related field.
• Relevant certification or licensure in Special Education.
• Strong understanding of various disabilities and special education laws.
• Flexibility and adaptability in instructional approaches.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Patience, empathy, and a passion for helping students with special needs.
• Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet individual student requirements.
• Knowledge of assistive technology and specialized teaching techniques.
