Job Description:

As a Photo Editor for our gems and jewellery brand, you will play a pivotal role in editing and enhancing product images to highlight the unique beauty of our jewellery collections. Working closely with the photography team, you will ensure that our images are visually stunning and ready for e-commerce platforms, marketing materials, social media, and print advertisements.

Responsibilities:

  • Edit and retouch high-resolution images of jewellery to enhance clarity, color, and detail, ensuring a true representation of the pieces.
  • Focus on creating visually appealing product images that emphasize texture, shine, and intricate details of gems, metals, and designs.
  • Perform tasks like color correction, background removal, resizing, and shadow adjustments to achieve professional-grade images.
  • Collaborate with photographers to ensure proper lighting and shooting angles for jewellery photography.
  • Prepare images for various digital platforms (websites, e-commerce sites, social media) as well as print use (catalogs, brochures).
  • Ensure all images meet brand guidelines and visual aesthetics, maintaining consistency across all projects.
  • Organize and manage photo archives, ensuring that all edited images are properly labeled and accessible.
  • Maintain an understanding of jewellery industry trends and visual storytelling to keep the imagery fresh and engaging.

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of professional experience in photo editing, preferably within the fashion, retail, or jewellery industry.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom, and other photo-editing software.
  • In-depth knowledge of jewellery photography techniques, including the handling of reflections, textures, and intricate designs.
  • Strong attention to detail, especially in enhancing small details that showcase the quality of gems and precious metals.
  • Ability to perform high-end retouching, including removing blemishes, reflections, and distractions.
  • Knowledge of jewellery-specific lighting techniques and angles that enhance the product's brilliance.
  • Experience in preparing images for various formats and ensuring web optimization.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, meeting deadlines while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
