Job Summary

As a Maintenance Engineer – Mechanical, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance, reliability, and efficiency of plant machinery through preventive maintenance, quick response to breakdowns, and continuous improvements. This role is best suited for candidates with a hands-on mechanical background who are committed to operational excellence and can work effectively across shifts in a manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

1. Preventive Maintenance:

• Execute routine preventive maintenance tasks as per schedule to minimize equipment downtime.

1. Breakdown & Abnormality Handling:

• Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical abnormalities or breakdowns promptly to ensure smooth plant operations.

1. Equipment Improvement & Modification:

• Suggest and implement improvements/modifications in machine tools and equipment to enhance reliability and productivity.

1. Shift Operations:

• Willingness and ability to work in rotational shifts including night and weekend shifts.

1. Documentation & Record Keeping:

• Maintain accurate records such as daily maintenance check sheets, repair forms, and breakdown logs.

1. Fabrication & Mechanical Work:

• Perform mechanical fabrication tasks such as welding, grinding, drilling, and structural repairs as required.

Key Requirements

• Education: B.E. / B.Tech / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
• Experience: 2–5 years in mechanical maintenance within a manufacturing/industrial setup.
• Skills:
• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems and tools.
• Hands-on experience in fabrication work.
• Familiarity with preventive maintenance programs.
• Ability to read mechanical drawings and manuals.
• Good documentation and reporting ability.
• Basic computer skills (MS Excel, Word).
