Job Overview

We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Cashier to handle cash transactions with customers and maintain the accuracy of our financial records. The ideal candidate should have excellent math skills and a friendly demeanor to provide exceptional customer service.

Qualifications and Skills

• Proven work experience as a Cashier or in a similar role
• Basic knowledge of math and ability to handle cash transactions accurately
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Customer-oriented mindset with a friendly and positive attitude
• Ability to work well in a team and collaborate with other staff members
• Familiarity with electronic cash registers and POS systems
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays

Roles and Responsibilities

• Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently, including cash, credit/debit cards, and digital payments
• Greet customers with a warm and friendly attitude and provide exceptional customer service at all times
• Maintain a clean and organized cash register area, ensuring all items are properly stocked and displayed
• Assist customers with any inquiries or concerns and provide appropriate resolutions
• Handle customer complaints or issues with patience and professionalism
• Count cash in the register at the beginning and end of each shift to ensure accurate accounting and prepare daily cash reports
• Collaborate with other team members to ensure smooth store operations and outstanding customer experiences
• Stay updated on product knowledge to effectively assist customers with their purchase decisions
• Follow company policies and procedures regarding cash handling, refunds, and exchanges
