As part of our continuous growth, we are seeking a skilled and experienced Store Supervisor with proficiency in SAP to join our team.
Job Summary:
The Store Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the construction company's store and inventory management. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of construction materials, excellent organizational skills, and expertise in utilizing SAP software for inventory control and management.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Manage and supervise all activities related to the store, including inventory control, material receiving, issuance, and stock maintenance.
2. Ensure accurate and timely recording of all materials received and issued using SAP software.
3. Maintain proper stock levels by conducting regular stock checks, monitoring consumption patterns, and coordinating with procurement and project teams to replenish supplies as needed.
4. Implement efficient storage and retrieval systems for construction materials to optimize space utilization and ensure easy access to required items.
5. Coordinate with the procurement team to source and procure construction materials, ensuring timely delivery and quality control.
6. Collaborate with project managers and site supervisors to understand project requirements and forecast material needs.
7. Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for store operations, including inventory management, order processing, and return handling.
8. Train and guide store staff on store procedures, safety protocols, and proper use of SAP software for inventory management.
9. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and maintain a clean and organized store environment.
10. Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to store operations, such as inventory accuracy, stock levels, and delivery timelines.
11. Analyze data and generate reports on store activities, including consumption trends, stock discrepancies, and any operational issues, to assist in decision-making and process improvement.
Qualifications and Requirements:
1. Proven experience as a Store Supervisor or similar role in the construction industry.
2. In-depth knowledge of construction materials, their specifications, and usage.
3. Proficiency in SAP software for inventory management and control.
4. Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with internal teams and external vendors.
6. Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data, generate reports, and identify trends.
7. Attention to detail and accuracy in inventory management.
8. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
9. Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to store operations.
10. High school diploma or equivalent qualification; additional certification in supply chain management or inventory control is a plus.
