Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Legal Secretary to join our team in Delhi on a full-time basis. The candidate will be responsible for supporting our legal department with various administrative and research tasks. This mid-level position requires a maximum of 6 years of relevant work experience. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional management and communication skills, with proficiency in legal technologies.
Qualifications and Skills
- Proficiency in legal research with the ability to analyze and interpret legal documents and case law (Mandatory skill).
- Solid experience in using document management software for efficiently organizing legal documentation (Mandatory skill).
- Expertise in case management software to effectively manage legal cases and ensure timely updates (Mandatory skill).
- Capability to conduct comprehensive research using legal databases like LexisNexis and Westlaw.
- Proven track record of using e-filing systems for managing electronic submissions of legal documents.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite for drafting, reviewing, and editing legal correspondence.
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks and handle multiple responsibilities efficiently.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and integrity in handling sensitive legal information.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Assist attorneys in the preparation of legal documents and correspondence on behalf of the company.
- Perform comprehensive and accurate legal research to support the company’s business objectives.
- Maintain and organize legal files, ensuring easy retrieval and management of documents.
- Interface with internal departments to consolidate necessary information and prepare for meetings.
- Manage schedules and deadlines to ensure optimal functioning of the legal department.
- Coordinate with external legal teams and stakeholders when necessary.
- Monitor regulatory changes and inform the team about any necessary adjustments in company practice.
- Provide administrative support such as answering calls, managing correspondence, and scheduling meetings.
