Responsibilities

• Professional mastery of video and audio editing software and programs
• A keen eye for cinematography. Should help out with the camera work and lighting.
• Plan the shooting schedule with the Industry and help with the various pre-production activities like sets/ props and script
• Review shooting script and raw material to create a shot decision list based on scenes’ value and contribution to continuity
• Gather and transfer all forms of media into editing software and ensure each was updated in the correct format
• Operate computer editing systems and equipment used for video media and effects
• Establish a clear understanding of the storyline and purpose of the video's creation
• Digitally splicing film and video and synchronizing them into one rough cut file
• Trim footage segments and put together the sequence of the film
• Ensure logical sequencing and smooth running to create rough and final cuts
• Consult with stakeholders from production to the post-production process
• Edit video to include preselected music, interviews, sound clips and other important aspects of the project
• Ensure the correct formatting and presentation for finalized videos according to the business specifications
• Continuously discover and implement new editing technologies and the industry’s best practices to maximize efficiency

Desired Skills & Experience

• Creative mind in filmmaking and videography
• Experience editing various video projects and inserting sound effects, music and transitions
• Hands-on experience or basic knowledge of Infographics and Motions Graphics
• Technical skills requirement: Final Cut Pro X, Adobe After Effects, Adobe Premiere Pro
• Proficient in creating concept boards and other visual representations of planned edits for video projects
• Ability to multitask and work toward several milestones on various projects simultaneously
• Thorough knowledge of timing, motivation and continuity
• 2-3 years of experience in video editing
• Bachelor's degree in film studies, cinematography or a related field
