We are seeking a Junior Safety Officer to join our team in Tiruchirappalli on a full-time basis. This position plays a critical role in ensuring workplace safety and compliance with safety standards. The ideal candidate should possess essential skills in risk assessment and have a strong foundation in safety management practices.

Qualifications and Skills

• Proficient in conducting risk assessments to identify potential hazards and develop mitigation plans (Mandatory skill).
• Thorough understanding of OSHA compliance to ensure adherence to occupational safety standards.
• Experience in conducting safety audits to evaluate the effectiveness of safety programs and policies.
• Skilled in incident investigation to analyze root causes and develop strategies to prevent future occurrences.
• Competent in emergency response planning to ensure preparedness for various workplace emergencies.
• Knowledgeable in managing and interpreting Safety Data Sheets (SDS) for hazardous materials.
• Familiarity with Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) management systems to promote a safe work environment.
• Certified in CPR and First Aid, providing essential life-saving techniques during emergencies.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards.
• Identify potential safety hazards and recommend corrective actions to mitigate risks effectively.
• Develop and implement safety policies and procedures to enhance workplace safety culture.
• Lead incident investigations and generate comprehensive reports with recommendations for improvement.
• Provide safety training and awareness sessions to employees to promote safe working practices.
• Manage and maintain accurate records of safety-related incidents and corrective actions taken.
• Coordinate emergency response drills and evaluate the effectiveness of emergency plans.
• Collaborate with management to set safety goals and develop strategies to achieve them.
