Technical Production Support Engineer

Job Description :

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Technical Production Support Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our organization, this person will play a critical role in ensuring the stability, reliability, and performance of our production systems. Their primary responsibility will be to provide technical support, troubleshoot issues, and maintain the health of our SaaS-based product for our major B2B customer.

Responsibilities :

- Production Support : Monitor, diagnose, and resolve incidents and issues related to our MERN- based application running on Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE) hosted by Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

- Infrastructure Management : Configure and manage GCP resources, including GKE clusters, networking components, and security settings.

- Cloud Security : Implement and maintain security best practices within GCP, ensuring compliance with industry standards and company policies.

- Database Administration : Manage MongoDB databases, optimize queries, and troubleshoot performance bottlenecks.

- CI/CD Pipeline : Collaborate with development teams to enhance our continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) processes using Jenkins.

- Monitoring and Diagnostics : Set up monitoring tools, analyze logs, and proactively identify and address potential issues.

- Incident Response : Participate in on-call rotations and respond promptly to critical incidents.

- Documentation : Maintain detailed documentation related to system configurations, troubleshooting steps, and incident resolutions.

- Collaboration : Work closely with offshore development teams, providing guidance on infrastructure and diagnostics.

Qualifications :

- Experience : Minimum of 3 years in technical production support or site reliability engineering (SRE) roles.

Technical Skills : -

- Proficiency in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services, including GKE and cloud networking.

- Strong knowledge of MongoDB administration and performance optimization.

- Familiarity with the MERN (MongoDB, Express.js, React, Node.js) development stack.

- Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins.

- Understanding of B2B, SaaS, and eCommerce platforms.

- Problem-Solving : Ability to troubleshoot complex issues, analyze logs, and propose effective solutions.

- Communication : Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

- Team Player : Collaborative mindset and willingness to work across teams and time zones.

- Certifications : Relevant GCP certifications (e.g., Google Professional Cloud Architect, Google Professional Cloud DevOps Engineer) are a plus
