Job Description: Audit Assistant- Compliance

Location: Kolkata (On-site)

Department: Compliance

Category: Full- time

Compensation: Up to INR 35,000/ Monthly Gross


About the Role

The Audit Assistant – Compliance will support the Audit & Compliance team in conducting

statutory audits, preparing accounts, and ensuring timely and accurate filing of tax returns and

related documents. The role requires strong knowledge of Tally, statutory audit procedures for

individuals and companies, and an understanding of share market transactions. The incumbent

will also be responsible for IT dashboard management, handling grievance filings, and preparing

financial statements.


Key Responsibilities

Audit & Compliance:

● Assist in audits of individuals, huf’s and companies in line with statutory and

compliance requirements.

● Ensure accurate documentation and reporting during audit processes.

● Can check market rates and corporate action for shares from Money control. Can

understand capital gains arising from sale of shares and MF’s.

● Verify and reconcile financial data to ensure compliance with regulations.


Taxation & Filings:

● Prepare and file all Income Tax Returns (ITRs 1 to 7).

● File Form 3CD and Form 9 for trusts in accordance with regulatory guidelines.

● Handle grievance filings and ensure timely resolution.

● Monitor and manage IT dashboard for compliance tracking.


Accounting:

● Draft financial accounts for individuals and companies.

● Maintain accounting records using Tally and ensure accuracy of entries.

● Support in preparation of balance sheets, profit & loss accounts, and related financial

reports.


Other Responsibilities:

● Keep updated with regulatory changes and compliance requirements.

● Assist in internal reviews and provide support during statutory audits.

● Coordinate internal teams for audit and compliance requirements


Qualifications & Skills

Educational Qualification: Semi-qualified CS/CA.


Candidate Requirements

Basic Knowledge:

● Proficiency in Tally and accounting principles.

● Knowledge of audit procedures for individuals and companies.

● Understanding of share market transactions and related compliance aspects.


Specialised Skills:

● Hands-on experience in IT dashboard management.

● Filing of ITRs (1 to 7), Form 3CD, and Form 9 for trusts.

● Ability to manage and file grievances effectively.

● Strong experience in drafting accounts for individuals and companies.


Other Skills:

● Good communication and documentation skills.

● Strong analytical and problem-solving ability.

● Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.

Experience

● 5 years of relevant experience in audit, compliance, or accounts. ( semi-qualified CS/ CA
