A leading artisan furniture company, is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Purchase Manager to join our team. The Purchase Manager will be responsible for managing the company's procurement process to ensure that all goods and services are acquired at the best possible price, with the right quality and quantity, and delivered in a timely manner. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, organized, and possess excellent negotiation and communication skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a procurement strategy that aligns with the company's goals and objectives
  • Identify, evaluate and select suppliers based on quality, price, and delivery time
  • Negotiate contracts, terms, and conditions with suppliers
  • Continuously monitor supplier performance and manage supplier relationships to ensure timely delivery of goods and services
  • Ensure that all purchase orders are accurate and in compliance with company policies and procedures
  • Manage inventory levels and ensure that the company has the right amount of stock to meet customer demands
  • Work closely with the production and sales teams to ensure that all goods and services are delivered on time and within budget
  • Maintain accurate records of all purchases and develop reports on procurement activities
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and regulatory requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain management
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and other procurement software systems
  • Knowledge of furniture manufacturing processes and materials is a plus
  • Certification in procurement or supply chain management is a plus
