Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Purchase Executive to join our team within the construction industry in Bangalore. As a mid-level opportunity, this full-time position requires a strategic thinker who can manage procurement activities and strengthen vendor relationships. The ideal candidate will leverage their expertise to optimize the supply chain processes and ensure the seamless acquisition of construction materials.
Qualifications and Skills
- Proven experience as a Purchase Executive within the construction sector (Mandatory skill).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data management and analysis of procurement activities to maintain accurate records.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD to ensure understanding of construction plans for resource planning and procurement needs.
- Strong skills in Supply Chain Management to optimize and streamline procurement processes efficiently.
- Excellent Vendor Relationship Management abilities to maintain and develop strategic partnerships with suppliers.
- Effective Negotiation Skills to ensure best pricing and terms on materials and services required for projects.
- In-depth knowledge of Construction Materials to make informed decisions regarding purchasing and supplier selection.
- Experience with Contract Management to ensure compliance with regulations and successful vendor agreements.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Manage the entire procurement process, from sourcing and negotiating to purchasing and quality assurance of construction materials.
- Evaluate supplier performance and negotiate contracts to achieve favorable terms for pricing and supply agreements.
- Collaborate with project managers and site engineers to ensure timely acquisition and delivery of materials necessary for construction projects.
- Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and other important data to facilitate effective procurement strategies.
- Develop and implement purchasing policies and procedures to strengthen the procurement process and enhance efficiency.
- Monitor and coordinate logistics to ensure timely delivery and alignment with project timelines and deadlines.
- Foster and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders to support project needs and drive successful outcomes.
- Identify potential supply chain issues and implement cost-effective solutions to mitigate risk and enhance supply stability.
